WOW, that's a lot of CLEAN parts... and a VERY DIRTY engine bay. You better clean that before you put that pretty engine/turbo/FMIC/rad in there.

Congrats though, it's lookin' like it's gonna be a hell of a ride-

damn that stuff looks sweet. you definatly need to clean the engine bay though. maybe even repaint it. but get all that dirt out of there. it will be alot easier now while the engine is out.

well i have actually kinda cleaned a couple places in the engine bay. the paint is fine, but it's VERY dirty. so i will take a leaf blower and a pressure washer to it

I have almost everything i need. there are a few odds and ends, and i'm sure i've forgotten some things.

Looks like you got most of the parts time to “ get to the gettin’ ” and start putting her back together (starting by cleaning and re-painting the engine bay ). Greddy will fax you the instructions for your kit I believe it costs $5.

rotary racer: hah yes that's exactly the phrase i was looking for. Also, thank you very much for the hint about the instructions - do you know if this is true even for models that are not produced anymore? Would I contact them via the website?

And as for that FCD comment, Hah. I forgot to take a picture of the Haltech in my closet, heh.

Base. It's the car in my sig.

At least, i'm pretty sure it's a base. Power mirrors, sunroof, a/c, but no power steering or power windows. No back seats, no bins. Four lug wheels. Aluminum hood. Heh, no A/C anymore, too.

For $150 I wasn't too concerned about what model it was... and then when it cranked and i drove it away, i really didn't care.

(cough)$4000 later...(cough)

That would be a 1986 RX7 Luxury Coupe.

Exact same as mine, right down to the lack of an engine.

Wait, you have an aluminum hood... lucky SOB....

Look like the old greddy kit where the FMIC piping goes over the UIM, kind of like mine...

...you can probably figure it out without too much hassle

how much power?

well, nobody has dyno'd a BNR Stage IV yet. BLUE TII and I are the only people I can think of off the top of my head with them, and I may dyno before he does. I don't want to disappoint myself, so i'll paraphrase Ian: 300rwhp plus some icing on the cake, and i'm expecting a lot of icing.

evilrotor: thanks for the hint. I haven't been able to get in touch with GReddy but after two hours of staring at pipes and the intercooler and rearranging **** trying to figure out how it goes in...i decided to wait until everything else is in the car. I actually think i'm missing a pipe or a piece of pipe. but we'll see. RXTASY on the other forum said he had to cut, and if I have to cut i may sell this kit and get something a little more straightforward to cut (ie large NPR).

digitalsolo, i am probably selling the hood soon to get a CF TII hood. The paint is horrible, though. just like most of the rest of the car, heh
