It helped my Idle...
My car (1991 TII), until this weekend, would not hold idle when first started for the day (cold). Then when it did, it bumped around from about 1300 to sometimes 900, but always seemed to be searching.
This is easy. I pulled the Intercooler and adjusted the Throttle Position Sensor (using the resistance method with DMM). I was only able to get 3 of the 4 measurements within spec.
Then I adjusted the BAC while the car was running. The net of this is that my car now idles on its own when completely cold, and has settled anywhere from 750 to 1000.
This may be repetitive to most of you, but I did alot of searches on the site prior to doing this, and a lot of idle problems exist out there. It is easy, and should come early in your fix. Hope it helps.
