Exclamation HELP: Yet another "car won't start"

I'm a FD guy, trying to help a friend of mine that just got a 86 FC NA:

Problem: Car almoust starts. When it reatches 1200rpms, it just flat dies.
If we press the gas pedal a bit, it dosen't change anything...
Eventually, it will flood and start to drain the Battery.

De-flooded several times.
Has gas
Spark Plugs have spark...
No wierd sounds coming from anywere.

This started to happen after he had the injectors out to clean-up. After clean, car started to act up like this.

I've been searching and what ppl usualy point to is the AFM, TPS or something wrongly connected or not connected at all during the re-install.

TPS: Seems to be OK but, how can we check it and be sure? Don't really have a spare one around.... maybe I can get a TII one from a friend in a couple of days but.. will it work?
AFM/MAF: wtf? been searching the manuals and everything for it... were the hell is that thing?
Vacum leaks: We've checked and don't really belive we've missed anything but then again, this is my 1st time on a FC and his 1st time on a rotary so...... wtf could we possibly screwed up?

Any other ideas?

- Thanks

Something like this happened to me this week. Turned out to be a few clamps were loose on the vacuum hoses. That's what I would think it could be.
