Wtf?! You lost me at VW...You want to put a 1.3B in your VW but the TII baby is on the way so you want a stock ems that would be a waste?

Use punctuation man! Its quite useful for others if you are not writing yourself notes.

ok, i have a 72 super beetle and a 87 rx7 NA . i am putting the 13b in the VW. i need sorting thru wiring the 13 b up with a factory ecu because its going to be stock. So a Ems like a haltech or megsquirt will be pretty much a waste. I had plans for a TurboII motor but my wife is pregnant so theres no $$$$ right now for an EMS or Turbo motor . Better ? thanks

Go to the FUEL AND EMISSIONS section of the FSM.

Find the pages called CONTROL UNIT. It shows what each wire in the three plugs does for a living.

A number of those wires can be deleted. Some can never be deleted if you want it to work.

Then you can go to the wiring diagrams and see where each of the wires your going to use, go to and from.

Most of the wiring diagrams are just so much trash. Like the radio bs and the abs bs and the wiper bs, the meters and warning systems bs, the cooling fan bs,.

Your only interested in the pages like EGI EMISSIONS CONTROL AND IGNITIONS SYSTEM and the pages called Starting and Charging system and Fuel Pump pages. Like maybe four pages in total.

A couple of examples are attached. Seems RB used to make VW conversion kits to fit RX engines. Just the engine/clutch etc, not wiring.

I put a redline thru the useless wiring on the ECU. The rest should all be used.
