Unhappy Help!!! Windows Stuck Open =(

my windows are stuck open and now i have to park behind my house just for the security of my car. my switch was broken before, for the window, and as i was trying ot fix it, i the little metal pieces that control the window opening and closing made contact and there was a spark and now neither of my windows will go up or down. is there a way i can close them without getting the switches fixed???

you most likely blew a fuse, if that's no the problem, you should be able to jumper the switch harness to close them

i had the same thing happen to me with the drivers side door. i took out the door panel, removed the power window switch. i then used a speaker wire, +/- and connected to my battery using a jumper cable straight to the power window harness and the windows rolled up, if you switch the -/+, the windows will roll down. good luck

Hey something I noticed when I was at the Mazda dealer fetting my seatbelt recall started, there was a recall at some point on the window switches. I know because I saw the report on my car. Anyways just something to look into.

Oh and yes I believe you may have popped a fuse.

so i connect the jumper cables to the battery, and then... im not really sure what else to do with the speaker wires after taking out the window switch. anyone with kinda more detailed info on how to do this, im still a nooby and i am kinda(just a bit) worried about getting electrocuted.
