I either look on the door jamb, driver's side dash, or on the firewall under the hood. Can't remember where else they are located. It's been a few months since I've seen my car.

post an add in the classified section for that part. it will be cheaper anyway. you should be fine with any s5 na vin number...i believe there is a section in the FAQ where it explains what makes up an FC vin.

Why would you buy an AT tranny pan from the dealer? That's not a part that goes bad due to wear and tear.

It's like buying a stock rim from the dealer when people are trying to give them away after they get aftermarket rims.

+1 for buying a used pan.

And what kind of idiots are working in the parts department at your local dealer? They can just as easily look up the part number if you give them the year and model of your car, as they could with the VIN. I've never once given my dealer my VIN when ordering parts. It would be useless with the amount of S4 & S5 mixing I do anyway.

Hell, I just looked it up right now: http://www.rotaryheads.com/PDF/2nd_g...0%20ENGINE.pdf. Go to page 129. It is PN: BV02-19-836 (Pan, Oil).

tell the retards at the dealership to go to hell.

they do not need any parts of your VIN to sell you part's.

thats why i dont go to dealerships for parts at all anymore....its worth it to pay less, and wait a few more days to buy online.

sure your car may be down for a few more day's, but most likely, the dealership will have to order the part too....so you might as well save money, and not deal with parts retards.
