M= by Mazda Motors Corp of Japan
FC35= a RX-7 convertible
2= with airbag
9= check digit
M= model year 1991
0= in Hiroshima Japan
9= before 06/91
04240= the serial number of the car (the 4240th model made that model year)

Hey icemark where did you get those numbers for the vin i am very interested in that. And your mirror etc went out fedex 3 day this afternoon.
