Help with V-band turbo setup

I got my engine running really good and decided to move on the the exhaust. I'm running a Garrett T04b with a 3" v-band outlet. I had previously bought a v-band clamp and flanges and tried to fit them on the turbo but my clamp was too big. On the turbo it's 3" but on the outside diameter of the v-band flange is like 3 3/4''. So do I need to get a 2.5 " v-band like this one?
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me..._Code=ATP-FLS4

I'm kinda stumped cause I don't know jack about v-band clamps, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

what manifold are you using? I had the HKS cast and I thought my vband clamp was the wrong size, but it turns out it I just couldn't get the clamp on straight because the nut for the turbine inlet was getting in the way.

you need a 3" vband flange. IF you have any local tuner shops or exhaust shops that could possibly stock or order the flange for you, bring the turbo with you to avoid getting the wrong part.

I'm holding a 3" vband flange to my turbo in the picture, the outlet is 3" and the overall diameter is 3 3/4". I need the outside diameter of the flange to be 3". Could I have possibly ordered the wrong vband. Is there a differend between a 3" v-band flange clamp kit and a 3" vband flange kit There are no tuning shops where I live nor take my turbo there cause my turbo is on my car. So what v-band do I need?
THanks

I can't see your pics from work...

On any case, it will be damn hard for somebody on the net, to tell you exactly what you need; TRUST ME! That's one of the problems of buying "used" turbos (like mine), where you don't really know what you need, and there is no part number to look for.

OK, enough with that, and I think I might have what you need. I was in your situation a few months ago. I said I think, cause I can't see your pics

This helped me out a whole lot:

I sent a message to atpturbo.com about my problem about 5 days ago and nothing. But I heard that you could weld a flange to the hotside of the turbo, is it safe to do that?
