Tracking down a short.

My battery drains practically overnight. I don't get continuity on anything when the car is off. The electric fan doesn't get power with the car off either. New battery. Anywhere else to check before chasing every wire in the car?

First make SURE your key is to OFF, not just to ACC.

Then, tonight before you put up for the day, disconnect the large output wire from the alternator.

You might disconnect the battery before you do that, but after you get that large wire off the alt, and made sure it does not touch anything, then put the battery wire back on. And wait til morning to see if the battery is still good or...not.

If you have a digital meter that shows amps, then you might do it another way. You'd do what the jpg attached would have you do.
