It's done all the time. You basically need a donor car or access to tons of parts. Use the 'Advanced Search' feature and you'll find tons of info. There was one on Ebay just recently. If you don't plan on crazy modifications to the engine, you can safely keep your stock driveline, but most people upgrade the entire driveline as well. N/A transmissions can take a bit more kick over stock, but they usually become an apparent weak link.

well im not really sure what type of engine i have but all i know is that the type of ECU it came with is an N374 and they say its an TII S5 ECU so i was wondering what type of mods and how hard it will be. The motor i have comes with pretty much everything except the drivetrain. It has the ECU, wiring harness, the tranny, and pretty much the sensors it needs for it. so what i want to know is wat type of mods ill need for it to work...thanks

is it a japanese computer and harness? and you will either need to swap the rear end and axles to the t2 units or modify the na driveshaft to fit the turbo output shaft on the trans. now for the fun part. since its an s5 jdm motor going into an s4 car you will need a usdm s5 engine and body harness unless you are a master electrician. you will need throttle cable, fuel pump, afm, and computer. i dont know about the gauge cluster or idiot lights but i think they were different too. my buddy tried to do this swap on the cheap and its 18 months later and the car is still on jack stands and he is royally frustrated.

I have the engine but i dont really know if its an S5 or an S4 so if its an S5 what would i have to do with the harnesses and stuff or the computer, will i be useing the S5 ecu..

A couple of the most obvious differences between s4 and s5 is that the s4 airflow sensor is an aluminum box "vane type" sensor, the s5 uses a plastic "cone" type sensor. Also the s4 turbo uses 2 actuators, one for twin scroll control and the other for the wastegate, the s5 uses only one actuator for wastegate only.

alrite well i know now that i have an s5 motor, s5 harness, s5 ecu and also the tranny with the driveshaft that will go with the na differential. Now the part i want help in is what i will have to do to have the motor go to the s4 na fc that i have. What will i have to do to make it work out with the s4 fc. I would also want to use all these parts if possible...
