Help! Starting hesitation!

One night I parked the car and removed all the main fuses from the fusebox under the hood. The next morning I went outside and put all the fuses back in and went to start the car. As I turned the key on everything seemed normal, I moved it to the crank position and nothing, for about 3 to 4 seconds anyways then it starts to crank. It's never done it before but now it's intermittent. Sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it hesitates for longer or sometimes not as long. I've checked all my grounds, and connections. Maybe it's just a bad ignition switch and the fuses didn't have anything to do with it at all?

I have this exactly same problem. Every morning I try to start my car and nothing happens. I turn the key again 3 seconds later and no problem. If I drive to the gas station and try again it starts up fine.

Anyone?

The Ignition Switch, Interlock Switch, Starter Cut Relay, starter and all of its associated wiring are possible causes. The Interlock Switch, located at the top of the clutch pedal, has a plug w/two wires. One is Black/Green while the other wire is Black/Red. W/key to start this Black/Red wire should have voltage each and every time. If it it does not then the problem lies at the Ignition Switch or before it. There is a black connector mating two Black plugs located a foot below the engine fuse box. One side of the cable comes from the Main fuse while the other side of the connector features the Black cable that powers the Ignition Switch. If this connection is faulty it could cause problems like the one in which which you describe.

Does it just click? It's common. Your grounds need cleaning or if you have an S5(?) then your clutch sensor it going out or stuck. Also a little box ground on the driver side firewall gets baked and wont ground to well.

Did you take the Main fuse out?
the one that you need to take out with a 10mm?
if so did you loosen the nuts up,and perhaps loosened the positive to the fuse block?
