Starter dead?

Change the oil in it. Take out two plugs and pour a table spoon of oil in the holes to lub it up a bit.

Santiago

PS- PREY!

Try putting some MMO(marvel Mystery Oil) in the bottom two spark plug holes only put a few tablespoons in each. then turn the engine by hand a few times to make sure it coats most of the engine. Let it sit for about a day and then try and start it up.

You are going to want to change the oil as well.

What is the condition of the gas in the tank. I mean has that been sitting for five years too. If so you are going to have to deal with thats as well.

Good luck.

PS- PREY!
Yup, that might be a good idea.

Wait to discuss this AFTER you get it running.

After those years. a seal might have gotten stuck to a housing.

Let some MMO soak for a day to break it free, then try to start it.

It should smoke quite nicely after you start it up.

putting 2 stroke oil in the gas tank is only for premix, don't worry about that.
Make sure the battery connectors are free of corosion and tightly secured.
Try turning the main (biggest and lowest) pulley with a 19mm socket to make sure the engine is not siezed up, make sure you turn it the direction as if you were tightening the bolt.

oh, and if it doesn't want to move, don't force it. Let that oil soak in overnight, and don't be afraid to overflow the plug holes, get that **** in there but clean up your mess.

if you havent, and there has been gas in the tank for those 5 years, i would think that you would have to siphon it out... and then pour some fresh stuff in

there is a bolt at the bottom of the gas tank. Drain all the gas out of the car before you attempt to start. I purchased and FB that had been setting for about the same length of time. Drian all fluids. I was told to use Seafoam, which is about the same as Marvel Mystery Oil. Don't use ATF as it might cause longterm problems.
Let the Seafoam set in over night. What I did was take all the spark plugs out and fan belts and turned the engine by hand first. I would imagine all the brake rotors will be frozen. Normally some liquid wrench and a couple takes with a hammer will losen. But I had to replace two of four. I drained out all the brake fluid, clutch fluid. I mean all fluids. I would also get under the car and check to make sure all your fuel lines and brakes lines are intact.

Unless the previous owner told you put 2 stroke oil in the tank. In which case the OMP may have been removed.
