ive replaced the starter solenoid, and when i try to turn her over, all i hear is >click< >click< >click< >click< and she just wont turn, although im sure something is spinning, i can hear it! Do i just need a new starter? Also, after i attempt to start there is another less loud clicking sound that is around until the battery is disconnected? HELP!!!
I'm no expert but i would guess that the timing might be off. I dont know why it would be off seeing that you didnt do anything that should affect that. Have you tried to push start it? and do you have intercooler spray? the spray makes a clicking sound to check if the intercooler needs a splash. The clicking could also be the injectors.
sounds like the bendix might not be kicking. how fast does it sound like its turning over? slower than ussual? if so you could have low voltage, either from a ground wire or weak battery. as for the clicking that continues that almost sounds like something shorted inside the starter. check your wiring from the solinoid and try again

yea, i hooked everything up correctly, and got the starter tested, and it is running fine. I've singled it out to be a bad battery, and the clicking sound must be from the solenoid contininously trying to get things goin with the starter. The battery tested in at 2.8 volts.... ouch.... that was a 170$ optima redtop.... Tomorrow im getting a battery and will post the results.
