help with s5

well i put in a new engine in my s5 and my oil pan has only one wire coming out of it...however my harness has two wires ..
now i think im misss one wire from the oil pan...iv seen other cars with two wires..cant rememeber if it was s4 oor s5

i think this is the reason why my check engine come on...its weird cause the check engine goes away when i press gas but come right back on when i let go


need help .its pissin me off

Thats fucked up, first thing that came to my mind is the O2 sensor is doing that.

That extra wire is for the sub-zero assist for an extra oil temp sensor on the oil pan, but I think that was only for Zenki FC's?
I don't remember a Kouki FC having that system...

Are we talking turbo or non-turbo engine?
What year is your car?
What year is the motor?

The missing sensor is the oil temp switch for the sub-zero start assist system. I'm presuming your new engine is a J-spec, because this system was fitted to US FC's but not to J-spec FC's.

This has nothing to do with your check engine light. Check for error codes to see what's causing it.
