HELP!!!! RX7 Vert Rim Problems!

Hi guys, I have an 88 RX7 Vert, and I am trying to remove the center caps off of the car. I have the bbs wrench, but the wrench only spins on the center cap. any sugestions on how to remove it another way?

Thanks!

Rotate the wrench in the opposite direction it takes to spin on the center cap. I'm not sure what your issue is. If you have problems with the center cap...wait till you see those 5 lugnuts.

Use a strap wrench, for instance Craftsman rubber strap type.

Sounds like the wrench is broken and just expands when you turn it? Can't think of any reason it would spin. Go to Mazda and get a new one for $65 or go to BMW and get a new one for $15.

Thanks for the info, but the bbs took is ok. two of my centercaps still come off with the tool. the other two, the centercaps just spin and won't come off like the others. I Think I may have overtorqued the center caps and possibly broken them.. any help as to still take them off?

Destructive way is to put a Screwdriver on one of those "web" things and hit with a hammer to get it to turn.......YOu already broke them so whats the difference. I'll see your add in the "Want to Buy" section

Actually I ended up using a pair of needlenose pliers and just broke the centercap off.. It was "destructive" as you put it, but this way I didn't scratch the rims.
