Help a rx7-brother out!

Im getting a JDM engine in a week or so. I wont be installing it right away, cause I gotta save a bit more money and cause im gonna have my hands full doing emissions removal on it.

Quick questions,
Does anyone know where to get or have any block off plates?
Any suggestions on how to go about?

Also, once I switch to premix... what TYPE of oil do I use? Not what brand... but TYPE. Do I use regular engine oil? or two stroke? what? (I assume its regular engine oil... but I just wanna be sure)

Any help, info... etc will be very much appreciated!

Thanks

Im making my block off plates right now out of a thicker aluminum ( so you could try doing that), or you could just go on ebay . They have some nice looking ones

For premix use any TCW3 certified 2 stroke oil. I personally use amsoil synthetic 2 cycle oil. 8.99 at canadian tire and your exhaust will smell minty fresh.

Listen man all these question have been asked 8 million times, do a search in the 2nd gen forum. If you still need answers then post in the 2nd gen section that's what it's there for.

Could a moderator please move this to the appropriate section?

Darns, I wanted to see how well 10w40 would mix in the fuel tank...

But I might as well make this post useful..
For block off plates.. you could do as suggested and try and make your own.. use the proper gaskets as a template to cut them out.. you could purchase a set of precut ones on ebay.. or if you are impatient and want to spend a bit more money, you can purchase some block off plates locally at rx7 specialties...

Ya I don't want to be an ***.....ok well sometimes I do, but really that's what the 2nd gen section is for.

You could also try www.k2rd.com for the block off plates. It's been my experience it's easier to buy a block off plate kit, it cost more but.......

Crappy tire has also started selling Castrol premix which is more economical.

Crappy Tire sells Castrol outboard premix oil for about $16 for a 4 liter jug. UAP/NAPA sells Castrol snowmobile premix oil for about $6 for 4 liters. Pretty much the same stuff, just a different label. Shop accordingly.
