Help ROTARY GODS!! no rotary guys in colorado

Can someone tell me i just had a dealership say "huh?"
themaster mechanic finally gave up i think and said its a blown seal, and dont get me wong im eager to upgrade to the turbo, but itd be noce if my engine would last a few monthe at least, you know get some more cash in order to do it right.

so the problem is that i cant figure out what caused the problem.
everyone who has heard my problem says there is nothing that should have done this, so if any rotary experts could offer their genious i would really appreciate it, cause there arent really any gurus or good shops in colorado.

i have an 87 gxl

I switched the spark plugs, accidentally inverting the ones on the rear rotor. the car started like a champ, no woierd noises or anything, but then when i tried to drive off the clutch seemed suddenly too strong for my engine, like my normal shiftpoint was way to little gas to get going, and i almost stall out. then i checked and switched the plugs to the correct position, but now, the problem persists

the only symptoms are
1. when the car turns over, on the last turn, right before startup, it sounds almost as if it is going to die (like i had let off te key), but starts great every time which it never did before
2. there is a knock, but i cant hear it when in idle o holding constant rms, only iunder quick accelleration, and with no load it almost disapears instantly, this also causes such a powerloss that i have to slip my clutch at like 3k just to get moving without jolting myself to death.

the only other thing i did was take the plastic cap off the top ofthe throttle (where it connects to the manifold) and turn up my idle a little (anything there?!?)\

i was thinking it was a blown seal, but is there any way to tell\
anyone have any ideas before i pay another shop to tell me they dont know
