help replacing a window
i got my new window all cleaned up and it looks great (thanks Vipers)
i've got it in but heres the problem: my window motor doesnt work (never has) and its all the way up. It was pretty hard getting the window bolted to the slider, but i got it, now i cant get the motor back in the mounting wholes, its always about 3/4'' below...
if i force it anymore i might break my new window...
is there some way i can 'lower' the window on the motor without switching it on/off (coz i cant lol)?

I'd bet it's either not in the track, either on the sides or at the bottom. See if you can get a friend to hold it while you check it out from window side. Or have them wiggle it while you press in on it at the top.
It ought to fit back in no problem, unless you tried to roll the window up after it was broken and the motor is too high. :P
Worst case, unbolt the window from the motor, put the window all the way up by hand until it's closed, and use a pair of vicegrips or clamps on the side tracks to keep it from sliding back down. Ghetto, I know, but I had to do that on the blue car in my sig when I bought it, because Australian window regulators have apparently been designated a national treasure.

LittleCon, my friend
You simply MUST take a weekend and discover the wonders of the Pic a Part yards. You've got 4 to choose from in relativley short driving distance.
How's the downpipe/presilencer working out for yah?

haha i love pick-a-part
the dp / ps are doing great... in my garage (i need some fab. work done on the split air tube, long story)
like i said, i have a new window motor on the way, so i guess that vice-grip idea will do for a few days... its just so strange that this is so difficult...
