Help Removing Exhaust from Hangers

Ok, maybe its just me or is there a trick from removing the exhaust from the hangers? Im talking about the ones that hold the muffler on, the ones that look like puffed-up rubber bands that DONT stretch. Maybe its all the exhaust soot in my eyes, but this is making me want to cry.
Anyone got any tips for removing the exhaust?

I don't know of any easy method. When I replaced my stock exhaust, I pushed the exhaust part as far toward the rubber donut (hanger) as I could to relieve as much tension as possible. Then I used a long screwdriver to carefully stretch the donut around the end of the metal exhaust hook.

I usually grab a 12mm box end wrench and put the box-end through the rubber hanger, and then against the metal hook. Then I just pry it off. It's pretty easy this way. Another method is to use your feet to push the cannister closer to the hook, and then just slide the rubber hanger off(may or may not work depending on how tight your exhaust is rigged.

i disconnected the exhaust at the cat first because then you can just pull and push the mufflers into place to remove those donut things.

you think taking them off sux? wait till you have to put them back on lol

2 long screwdrivers and a can of wd40. Makes it alot easier. Just use the screwdrivers to pry and stretch them. The wd40 is used as a lube. It makes getting them on/off much easier.
