Help...radiator...

so I got my new koyo and was installing it tonight started at 7ish and now it is almost 1am.... I have some questions...did the fan shroud not fit properly when any of you guys installed yours? and also maybe they sent me an S5 radiator...because for being OEM fitments...it doesn't have anywhere to bolt up...and finally last question...i let my FC sit for a couple weeks while waiting for the shipment and when i started it up it started smoking white....is it normal after sitting for an extended time like that? I haven't had any previous issues with it smoking, any info would be good thanks

Yeah, you need to modify the fan shroud. Here's the thread when I did mine.

The S5 radiator has the filler neck in a different spot, so unless it looks really different, it's the right one.

Also you have to remove the radiator straps from your old rad to put on the new one. I also remember drilling some holes in the rad straps, but I don't remember where exactly.

in order to fit the koyo radiator, you need to pull the two stock brakets off the sides of your old OEM radiator and mount them on to the koyo...

As for the fan shroud not fitting.. this is because the koyo is thicker then your oem radi. making it somewhat difficult to bolt it back up too the stock brakets due to the extra space. there are methods for mounting it including a mounting kit that comes with it.( i think you only get it from ordering it at a specific site cant remember which one..) i didnt have the mounting kit when i got mine so i just used Zip ties, just make sure its sacure and it clears the fan...

If that dosent work you might have gotten the wrong radiator since you mentioned that they sent you a S5 radaitor, i take it you have a S4 car.. i dont really know if there really a diffrence between the two other then the filler neck location, and that the s5 is a tad bit thicker in size... if that the case maybe you might need the S5 Brakets in order for it to mount up.

When you see white smoke it usually means coolent seals, but since you just started it up its hard to tell, wait till normal operating temps and drive it around then see if there is still white smoke coming out of the tailpipes.
