Help Quick: Aux Port Actuator

OK, I just started to check the aux valves and actuators by hand before I tore the whole intake off. I have the front actuator out and there is nothing attached to it. The valve moves freely, however there is nothing attached to the actuator so it cant move the valve, what do I do? Maybe someone bypassed the system?

okay, I started to play with the actuator and there are two holes near the bolt holes. It seems that the air goes in these holes and that is how the actuator is moved. I am going to use a little gasket sealant and I am going to put it back on, maybe a small leak.

Sounds like your saying part of the linkage b/t the actuator and the valve is missing? Get one out of the junque yard.

Go to one of these sites and download the FUEL section and look at the actuators.

Okay, I checked the actuators and they both have good seals when I tested them. They are spring loaded to the fully open position. So my hypothesis is that some type of vacuum is applied to them to make them close, thus opening the ports. What produces the vacuum?

Nope. Its PRESSURE. The PRESSURE is from the small pipe just to the rear of the rear actuator. It has a hose on it. The hose goes to the small pipe on the split air pipe. The pressure comes from the exaust gasses in the catalytic converter.

There is a free manual at http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/
