KS HELP !! please wont start

so i did an engine swap recently , i put a 1990 na vert motor into an 1991 na hatch i just swaped the motor nothing else now i got everything hooked up and i went to start it and everytime i turn the key the wiper arms flex but nothing else happens ,also long story short , i touched the wiper motor and it is hot to the touch i know it sounds weird but it is almost like it is sending all my power to the wiper motor instead of my starter , has anyone ever heard of this problem ?

Did you check voltage at the starter or the battery?

You could check voltage at the wiper motor as well to see what kind of voltage it's receiving.

Do you get power to the lights but not the starter?

I would pull the fuse, for now, to the wiper motor just in case so it doesn't get burnt up. It shouldn't be hot to touch. Are you hearing the starter solenoid actuating? Check for power (test light) to starter solenoid (should light up), then from solenoid to starter motor while cranking it should illuminate. Also, check starter fuse, relay and neutral safety switch. Are you sure fuel lines are attached properly and no leaks? Triple check connections.

sorry for the spam of stuff, but these are some of the things off to top of my head it could be.

You messed up some wiring connections somewhere. Did you pull the engine with he harness attached, or did yo pull all the manifolds?

I have not tested any volts yet , I do have power to all my lights , my wipers will not work with the switch though , I hear a click when I try to start it but I don't think it's from the starter , when I pulled the motor I took off the whole top end and pulled just the keg , without the harness and I swapped the keg into my hatch , and then I put it all back together from there

The wipers and turn signals should work w/key to on. If they don't then the Ignition Switch is not connected properly or not working. The Main Relay should click w/key to on as will the Circuit Opening Relay so maybe these are what you hear. Both of these items clicking though w/key to on would mean the Ignition Switch is at least working in some manner. There is a B/W wire which connects to the Starter Soenoid. This wire should have power w/key to start. The starter cannot turn over w/o this B/W wire powering up w/key to start. So start w/this and see what's up. This B/W wire comes from either a Blue plug near the trailing coil or this plug is connected to a relay called the Starter Cut Relay. You can check the B/W wire here as well. The thick Black/Green wire should also have power w/key to start at this Blue plug/relay. The voltage comes from the Ignition Switch as the car is started. If the car requires the clutch pedal to be depressed to start then the clutch is to be depressed w/key to start for voltage to appear on the thick B/G wire.
