Help Please With Swap Information
Help Please With Swap Information
i want to know what is exactly needed beside the turbo motor before i swap my 89 fc na to a turbo version and is it gonna be easy or no? and what how could you know which tranny is the good one...please help please????
Depends on how much experience you have working on cars. If you have done major auto repair before this shouldn't be too bad. Otherwise it may be a very good idea to let a shop do it.
Here is a writeup of how to do a S5 JDM Tii swap

(this is the same writeup except a bit more organized)

As for identifying a turbo trans vs a non turbo trans (I'm assuming thats what you are talking about when you say good vs bad) I'm not entirely sure.. I know I have seen some posts about that so you may try searching for that answer.
Good luck

thanks guys..im just new to this...b4, i got a car i never liked but it made enough power for me to be proud but is this whole thing like plug and play or i have to connect and splice wires together or something?
As engine swaps go its fairly easy but its not something for a beginner who knows how to change his oil. Read the links I posted. Those will give you a good idea on how much work is required.
