NO NO NO NO...
Its so much easier!!!
Get a metal or hard wooden dowel the SAME SIZE as the -inner diameter- of the bearing.
Make sure the dowel moves freely in and out of the bearing without too much space on the sides.
(Use the transmission pilot shaft as a guide)
THEN...
Take a few cups of water and a few paper towels.
Soak the paper towels in the water and tear thiem into small peices. (important)
Insert as much soaked paper towels as you can into the hole.
Pack them in until you reach the bottom (back) of the bearing.
Then...
Be perpared to be amazed...
Plae the dowel in the hole touching the water soaked paper towels.
Then switfly and firmly strike the dowel with a HEAVY hammer.
The water will shoot out the only place possible.....
behind the bearing.
The bearing will fly out of the hole abruptly.
You will now begin to laugh hysterically.
( This is normal. do not be afraid. )
The faster you hit the dowel with a heavy hammer the better.
You have to "SURPRISE" the bearing out.
This works.
(Now ask me how you can remount a tire with just a lighter.)

No way......, that is just too easy. I'll have to try that next time.
I spent $50 and got a good bearing puller. Mazdatrix sells a good one that works with a slide hammer.
But, the one way I've tried and been successful without these tools IS the small flat head screw driver trick.
Already been said, but to say again:
First, use a screw driver to scrape out the roller bearings. Then, get one (works better with two at the same time) long narrow flat head and tap in between the bearing housing and the female hole wall it mounts in. Bend inward making a V on either side. This relieves the pressure against the inner wall. Then, it should easily slide out with a pair of needle nose.
I know a couple very well known excellent rep shops that do it this way as standard proceedure. So, take confidence in that.
Good luck.

Well, i didn't get the replies, so i took a Die Grinder and grinded that son of a !@#$% outta there, now i gotta clean inside the E-shaft and insert the new bearing....i should just use a socket? And lightly tap it until it hits the end?

hit the wood with a hammer to force the bearin gin, then tap a deepwell socket into it to seat it at the bottom of the angle that is on the rim of the E-shaft.
