Hi all.
Not sure how the hell this happened, but I have driven my car to work, locked it as usual and now it will not open. It appears somehow the lock has become jammed and will not disengage. I've tried pushing it, pulling it, locking it/unlocking it but it's well and truly stuck where it is. Any ideas on getting it open? I don't really feel like having to climb through the passenger side to get in and drive the car. It's not fun

I locked myself out of my car once. I was able to get it open by popping off the trim at the base of the window (the one that always rusts). It comes off fairly easily with a key or screwdriver. Once it's off, you can use a screwdriver to push down on the rod that connects to the door handle (assuming your handle is broken and unable to push the rod down). If it's locked, you might get lucky enough to manipulate the lock rods enough to get it unlocked/ open. Best of luck.

The handles themselves are fine, it's actually jammed locked unfortunately :/ when I attempt to open using the handle and it's in the unlocked position, the handle won't go all the way, the same as it does when it's in the locked position.

I think I'll just take it to someone who knows what they're doing. I think what I may have done is held up the handle to lock the door as usual but not held it open enough so it has partially unlocked, as the door does if you're not holding the handle up, and so the locking mechanism has jammed up :<

Oh well. Hopefully this won't cost me too much. Thanks for the help anyway
