help please!, 88 rx7 gtu, n/a

i need help with my 88 rx7 n/a....i heard people are doing s5 upper intake manifold swaps into their s4 for more power, now the thing is i found an upper intake manifold for sale off of an s5 t2 model , will it fit/work with my car?

No it won't work, the S5 mod is so you can use the VDI off of the S5 manifold, the turbo manifold doesn't have it.

S4 to S5 NA boosted hp from 146 to 160, and that is with more changes than just the VDI. The concensus is that the mod. isn't worth the few horses, because of the VDI also needs to be controlled, which the S4 electronics does not provide for. Having said that, it's been done.

The turbo intakes will not work, BTW. For one thing, the turbo is 4 port, the non is 6 port, plus many, many other differences.
