Help, not idling after installing bov

Ok, I have an 88 TII. Just got done installing the adapter and BOV (greddy type-S).

After getting the pipes on (big PITA), i clamped everything down, put the intercooler back on, and bolted everything up. I attached all the hoses, and tried to start her up.
She idled really rough for a second, then died. I can keep her alive with quite a bit of gas, but that's the only way to keep her from dying.

The BOV was working, and the car revved ok, except it required a little more throttle.
Any idea what is going on? While I was looking under there, I did see one opening that I thought was connected with a hose before, but I had none in my parts bag.

Pics below. Let me know if there's something outta the ordinary that would be causing the car to die. In the pics I'm pointing at the spot where I thought a hose was.

When you installed the new bov, did you install a new pipe for the intercooler? The stock one has a little bung that that hose connects to. From the pics, I am assuming that the pipe with the bov flange is not oem. I believe the bac valve has something to do with letting air in to maintain idle. That being not connected is causing a giant vacuum leak which is why the car wants to die.

No, the flange is not OEM. I think I know what bung you're talking about. As there was a separate tube that came from the pipe. How should I route that unplugged hole, and to what?

try plugging the hose up...or you can do it the right way and put another nipple on your new flange so you can put the hose back on.

So weld a small nipple on the flange? Or can I drill a hole in the hose and run it there? If I block it off, will it run normal?

weld a nipple on the metal piping then from that nipple you run a hose to the unplugged hose

Thanks for the tips, I'm gonna try to get a hold of a welder and get that on there. First I'll try plugging it and see if it fixes it.
