how much could I make parting my T2?

Thinking about parting out my T2(tranny and engine) as opposed to selling, just wondering if anyone had an Idea of some things to sell and prices. Thanks Mike
Its an 88 with 112K, running solid.

Don't do that...If it runs good sell the whole thing...It is a total waste to part it out.....

hood maybe $250
motor and tranny under $1k
w/ecu and harness...

there's more but just sell the whole thing,

you'll get like 2-3k for a decent shape s4 t2 on the board...

They're right. In parting, you spend more effort in tear-down and sales administration, than just selling the entire car as one unit.

Yep! It's only worth parting a car if
a: it's an n/a auto with a dead motor
b: the body is GARBAGE
c: the motor is hosed and the body is fair/poor

Otherwise, You'll make more money (or at least waste less time) selling the car whole.

A running/driving TII in good shape should NOT be parted, ever!

I agree, unless the body is trashed with rust or frame damage, don't part it out.

I parted out my '87 TII because it had both rust and frame damage that I didn't see before.
