Help my car is screwy

When ever I start mt RX-7 I know that it is supposed to go to 3000 rpm but mine goes to about 2000-2500 rpm and stays in that range until it warms up as it warms up the rpm's slowly drop, and also once you warm the car up and if you turn the heater on it will run at about 500-750 rpm and with it off usually sits on a 1000 rpm. Does anyone know why it does all this crap any suggestions would help

Sounds like a few things could cause that. The throttle body may need to be adjusted and the BAC (Bypass Air Control) valve may need to be changed. These are covered in repair manuals (I have the Haynes and it explains it well).

Get the FSM off fc3s.org, there is more detailed information in the FSM than there ever will be in haynes.

Wouldn't be the fast idle cam if the BAC unplugged solves it.

yeah sounds like a bad BAC or ECU

I don't mean that unplugging it fixes it I mean that the test that I think a haynes manual told me to do said if you unplug the BAC valve and it is in good wourking order that the cars RPM's will drop noticable, but I don't exacly know what noticably is and this is also when the car is warmed up. I just checked and once it is warmed up it moves about 50-100 rpm's I think it isn't that noticable on the tack
