ok 86 rx-7 this car was running fine well the engine was it was overheating and the clutch went out so my friend change the clutch and the themstats and when he start it up the car rev all the way to 7000 rpm and stay there would not go down we check all the line and eveything any idea anyone ?

 

Well,obviously if your throttle body was closed it wouldn't be able to do that.That being said,I would start with your TB and figuring out why that is stuck open>

 

well that what i was thinking that the throttle was stuck open i was going to take it a part and see if it open but i am just seeing if anyone ever had this problem
