okyes ur probably al getting annoyd of me but im so close. as it is right now i just got done putting everything back together. i took off the emissions rack, re ran the fuel lines, new fuel filter, modified throttle body and i think thats it. but now it seems like its not getting any gas and no spark. i was looking at it and i felt the fuel lines and there hard like there pressured so it seems that its not getting any gas which is weird cause ive almsot had it started before i tore it down. i was told by a friend to try the cpu but i talked to another friend and he said that thats not the problme and that it could be the coil packs which they both would not go out at the same time hwile just sitting there. if u got any ideas plz plz help me!!

Perhaps your fuel lines were re-installed backwards?

What exactly happens when you try to start it?

Did you pull the plugs and smell for fuel?

You really need to find out FOR SURE what the symptoms of your problems are and what EXACTLY you're working with, for anyone to really help you out.

 

there should be a yellow two prong female connector on the passenger side of your engine bay, (near the strut tower on mine) if you jumper this and the turn the key to the "ON" position this will pressurize your fuel lines, that way with the upper intake off you can check for leaks in stuff... good way to prevent a fire...

 

its an 1986 gxl. im completely stripped everything out that i pretty much can. ive taken all the interior out and left the seats and the dash. under the hood i pulled the power steering, the AC, charcoal canister, emissions rack, and modified the throttle body. i checked the fuel lines and there hooked up right. when i try to start it its just cranking over n over with no egnition. i can smell fuel when trying to start it and i pulled the plugs and i smelt gas. so i dont know whats going on
