Exclamation Help me out. How much should I pay for this car.

I have located a 1988 GLU.

The car has 2 minor body damages 1 is very minor. there is vertualy no rust on the car. the undercareg is rust free minus part of the under frame has the least amount of surface rust i have ever seen on one. Fule pump is bad. It needs tail lights. The radio center surround is missing and the guage cluster has a crack it needs the defroster vents. no radio. the carpet has a few spot stains the seats are beutifull. power mirors work. sun roof motor spins but dosent slide roof. Minor body work is needed on a corner of the hood. The motor is absolutly TRASHED! the coolant seals are poring coolant into the motor. AC works. suspention is good. the chassie has 141k on it.

How much should I pay for it?

The car was non running he said it ran. So I took it with no payment and i have title. I worked on it half a day sat and half a day sun hooking all the motor wires that were not connected and figureing out where vacume lines went and bs like that fixed evrything on the car and when it came to gettign it running turned out coland seals were blown as I said. so will swap a 13b-RE into it.

thx for the price quotes guys.

Hmm...you appear to be right. It's not in the FAQ.
GLU is the standard package, IIRC.

Ok in theory yes I could have stiffed the dood and got a free car. but I am nice and dont like to burn bridges you never know how they may become usefull in the future.
A GLU is the same as a normal second gen with power mirrors TII suspention and the only car with 4:30 gears in the rear end.
Ok here is the story I bought the car. I tryd to get it for 5 but I could only get it for 650 so i got it for 650 and i have to give the dood back the blown motor b/c he dont think its blow but i know the seals are gone. I orderd a JDM front clip from a TII going in it this weekend hopefully if shipment arrives. This is will be the new car and we sold the other blown GTU for $1,800.

The only car with 4.3 rear-end was a GTUs (89-90), NO other 2nd gen came came with that rear.
