help me my trailing coil isnt firing

help me my trailing coil isnt firing

please help. my 87 non turbo is not firing the trail coil. the car has been having problems starting and dieing and black firing. i was going to check timing. then i check the leading plugs both were firing then the trailing nothing happen. the timing light is brand new. is there any good ways of finding the problem thanks.

At idle, did you pull a trailing plug wire and ground to see if there is spark jumping? Tach wiorking?

no but the tach is working. and i checked all wires to day it seams that its getting power and the main relay is working. i check the coils to and their ohm is under 1 for both.
is there any why that the igniter is not working?

The tach cannot work unless there is spark by both trail plugs.

i tried to start the car today with out the coil and it started alittle bit better. still wont idle and wont run for more then 20 sec. the tach was not working now. i also took off the air filter. is there any other things i can try to get this dang car to run. i wont to drive it so bad the new akins engine needs to run. thanks chris
