help me with my pilot bearing

i got my flywheel off and went to change the pilot bearing but it turns out the previous owner overheated it and the casing of the pilot bearing is welded in the shaft. he tried to dremel it out and left the broken dremel bits inside the shaft. i was like wtf? i removed those but cant seem to get the pilot bearing out. i dont want to damage anything so anyone got any ideas
?

Are you using a proper puller to attempt to remove it?

They are a problem to remove. You need to expand the puller as hard as you can. The only area you will be able to "grip" on, will be the outer casing of the bearing. Are you sure it's pieces from the dremel, or is the remains of a destroyed pilot bearing? If you search, there are many stories about removing the bearing. Personally I've always had luck with the puller after making it as tight as I could. It would take a few swipes, but it will come.
