Help me make a choice on a FC?

Ok whats the deal with the GTUs? I have never heard of it, and really dont know alot about these cars. But I have found a nice one for $5100

and a 1988 10th Anniversary for $7500.. <-- one I want

Someone told me the 88 is over priced, but it seems 100% mint. I just sent him a e-mail with like 20 questions though, so I will know more soon.

GTUs is basically a regular GTU plus suspension upgrades from the TII, mainly the 16" wire wheels, the front 4 piston calipers, and the rear LSD.

it's supposedly the 'sportiest' NA FC of all

whoa 7500 for a 10ae??? no way man... wayyyyy too much unless all the parts in it are brand spankin new! i think only a limited number of GTUs were made. And still $5100 is really alot for it...

I would pay $7,500 for a 10ae if it has under 20,000 original miles and has been meticulously maintained. I would pay $5,100 for a GTUs under the same circumstances. If these cars are anything other than super low mileage show room condition, they are NOT worth anything near those prices. My 88 TII cost me $1500 and only needed paint and a bumper...

I dont know about the AE one ( it does seem a little over priced, but it depends on tha condition and what u like), For the GTUs, if its in good condition and low miles, u can try to lower the price a little and it should be ok...but it all depends on what u like and what your willing to pay

It does seem pricey, but if he replys with all the answers im looking to hear, im going to drive up and take a look at it in person, if it's as nice as im hopeing I wont mind that price tooooo much. Mind you yea i'll try to talk him down as much as possible. But I WANT a NICE FC.. and these seem nice.

(I just e-mailed him asking like 20 questions but I know this so far)
He just rebuilt the engine, says the tranny shifts perfect, Use's redline gear oil in the tranny & rear end.

So if the turbo is new, interior is spotless and the body and paint is spotless.. hell it's basicly a new car... soo im willing to pay a good price for something like this that other than normal maintance I wont have to work on alot.

By that I mean "fix" I dont mind maintance or alot of work upgraeding.. but I absolutely hate fixing ****.

If and when I get it, I just have to decide what to do with my DSM.. keep it or sale it.

Anyone here into DSM's as well?
