Help me with this free FC

I got a free 1986 base model and the guy said "it ran when I got it, then my dipshit son took out the tranny and didnt know how to put it back in, so he bolted it in and stuck it here." Apparently it didnt start after that, but it has no battery so i cant check. What could this kid have done during tranny removal to make it not run? Only guess I have is that he misaligned the flywheel so it isnt touching the starter...

well, heres a simple solution, get out some jumper cables. Attache corresponding ends to the positive and negative terminals of the car in question, hook other end to yoru running vehicle. Vwalla, instant and cheap check. Or when in doubt just pull the damn thing to be safe and not sorry man.

no offense but it's FREE!!! take it home, jump it, see if it runs. If it does cool gotcha another car to drive (as long as title is included) if not you got a free parts car, use the parts or sell them to make some money.

Oh no, I'm taking it. There's no question there. I was just looking to see if anyone had any ideas as to why this isnt running.

Maybe he bolted the starter + to the block instead of the starter?

It's going to be a little hard to troubleshoot via telekinesis....
