Help me electronic gurus!

Alright, I'm doing this mod right here: http://rx-7.freehosting.net/lights.htm and have bought the relay(vf4-45f11 ) and the switch. Now, I am befuddled as to what plug connects to the on/off switch and what one goes to the retractor motors.
Help!

I don't think the guy knows exactly what he's doing, no offense to him. I only read his directions briefly so I don't know his exact application but here is a typical explanation of the use/wiring of a relay:

STEP 1
Pins 85 and 86 is your coil, if you put a voltage across these pins the relay will "switch" (ie. put the +voltage on one of the pins and -voltage on the other pin, doesn't matter which one, and the relay will switch). So you'll need a device to "activate" this switch. Lets say you want to use a switch to activate this relay then you would wire the switch in series with the +side with a fuse. So take a wire wire it to the + battery terminal then wire it to one end of a fuse and from the other end of the fuse wire to one terminal on the switch and from the other terminal on the switch wire to either pin 85 or 86 on the relay. Then wire the other pin to ground(either 85 or 86 depending on which one you already used).

Conclusion to step1: Now every time you flip the switch ON the coil on the relay will energize hence activating the relay.

STEP 2
Okay, so in step one we energized or activated the relay, now we have to use this relay to activate a device(or deactivate, depending on how you wire it). In this case our device is the electric motors for the popup headlights.

Pin 30 is the common, and pin 87 is "normally open" and pin 87A is "normally closed". The "normal" state of the relay is when the relay is de-energized (ie. no voltage across pin 85/86). So if you wanted to activate a device when you flip the switch ON then you would wire to pin 87 but if you wanted to deactivate a device when you flip the switch ON then you would wire to pin 87A.

What causes to healights to pop up is the motors that drive it. What causes the motors to turn is a voltage across its terminals. What you want to do is break that motor "circuit" at the precise moment the headlights are in the position you want them to be. So you want to interrupt the +side of the motor circuit.

So if you want to deactivate the popup headlights then wire pins 30 and 87A in series with the +side of the headlight circuit. If you want to activate the popup headlights then wire pins 30 and 87.

I don't have time to read all the info. from the link. But' on the relay it's norm. wired like this.....#30 to batt. and inline fuse. #86 to earth , #85 to switched ignition and or optional sitch. #87 to the lights. I am no guru though. So all this may be wroung??? OK i went to raed the rest of the link. "He" is telling you to run #30 to a switched power#86 to earth with a inline switch.# 87 to the load (lights)" His B option"That is what he is saying. I wouldn't do it that way though. You should put a fuse inline.

Here is the really, really easy way to do it.

Cut the main fuse wire like the fella did in his instructions. Now, put a switch in your car somewhere and attach appropriate guage wires from your cut line at the fuse to the switch.

If you want sleapy eyes, turn off the switch (which for normal operation you leave on). Now, turn on your headlights and give the switch a quick on/off hit.

A few tries and you should have them in the position you want.

My 2 cents and the cheap, dirty way to do it.
