hi, i have a first gen rx-7 and I wan't to sell it (not in best nick) and buy something else. I have about AUS$8000 to spend and I was thinking of getting a NA series IV (as they are nicer and habdle better). I know these aren't super fast. Are they easy to modify to make quicky (ie. do they respond really well to things like a new exaust). Or does anyone have any sugestions on any other good cars for about that price?

 

They respond pretty well to intake and exhaust modifications, plus theres a bigger aftermarket for them. In the USA anyway. Modifications are fairly easy if youre mechaincally inclined.

 

If you can come across a series V then go for that instead. I have a NA S5 and I like it. I'm not too sure on the spec differences, but IMHO the S5 looks nicer.
