Hey guys, i put my engine in 1988 s4 na 13b and its pretty much done but i have a question. i provided vacuum to the lower actuator from the upper manifold is that ok? the coolant temp sensor has a nipple i blocked off and i also blocked off a nipple next to the iac. here is a video so you know what i am talking about. thank you so much cant wait to start it!

Ok so its running now but the throttle doesn't really work. I feel like its running super rich, it backfires at 2000rpm and the throttle is sluggish like the tps is disconnected. Any ideas?
ok, first off, the nipple on the bacv (first thing you pointed to in the vid) is for a coolant line that runs to the front iron (the second nipple you said was near the coolant temp sensor). A hose needs to run between those two nipples (id also wager a guess you dont have the rear line installed?)
Also the lower actuators (the 5th and 6th ports) recieve actuation from exhaust pressure NOT intake pressure.
Idle surging could be a bad tps or a bad idle control solenoid (sits in about the same area as the bacv, is used when the power steering or ac is putting load on the engine at idle. if the solenoid is going south it will cause surging, as it will be feeding teh engine unwanted air.)
