Question Help Installing new stereo, Pioneer.

Trying to figure out why my new head unit wouldn't power up. Found out the Accessory wire is "Broken/OPEN CIRCUIT". So when I turn the key to "ACC", nothing happens.

I am using the OEM wiring and OEM speakers.

Does anybody know of an alternate ACC power outlet I tap into for this?

Stereo wiring:

These are the wire colors for adding aftermarket radio

WORKING/////////////////LTBlue/Red= 12v+
NOT-WORKING//////////LtBlue/White= +Accessory
WORKING w/RELAY/////LtBlue/Yellow= -power ant trigger
N/A////////////////////////Red/Black=+ Lumination
N/A////////////////////////White=Factory Amp Turn on

since you are not using the Radio wiring anymore, and it seems to have a problem you say??
Take the ACC wire from the Stereo, put a spade connector on it and run it to the RADIO fuse.(driver's side kick panel).
Pull the Fuse out of the Fuse block and stick the wire on the Bottom part that held the two "tines" of the Radio fuse in.
That will give you 12v Switched, accessory.
The Memory for the NEW radio of course will need 12 volts ALWAYS,so you need to get that wire to the battery.

Just make sure that the Radio(new install) is properly protected with the fuses it came with and you are fine.

Units such as add-a-fuse or add-a-circuit may be helpful.

Another option would be to run a single feed from the battery and split it, one leg to the constant 12v, the other to a relay.
Trigger this relay with an IGN switched 12v from any of the multitude of devices in the dash.
Because you're only pulling minimal current to flip the relay, you can use any source without concern for wire gauge or draw.
I'd bet there's a switched 12v at the Logicon that would be easy- and short!- to access.

or yet another option, whenever i have an issue with accessory power i start checking fuses... even a light shined right on the fuse panel usually gives me a hint of a problem.

who knows, maybe other things will start working!
