Well, thanx to all for the help in diagnosing the current engine. What I did was tow the car again and while it was moving I started it. The car started and i let it run for about 10 mins. After that i put it in gear and the engine was just about dead but while pumping the excelerator the car would move about 1 mph. It kept dying but it would start pretty easily. I checked the compression...in the front it was perfect heard the 3 whooshes, but in the back nothing not even 1 whoosh. So I guess I need to replace the engine. Anyone know where I can get one cheap??? I have an 89 GXL Auto. Thanx for your replies !!!
Do not use that 3 woosh crap to do a compression test. Get a real compression gauge and do it that way, they are like 15-30$.
But if you want a new motor, I really suggest CP Racing. I am waiting for them to finish mine up (should be done in a few days). Chris (the owner) has always returned my emails, even ones irrelevant to cars hehe
. His email is farmz1@hotmail.com, I really suggest checking out their prices for a rebuild.
