Help i have some questions,, not to mention im stuck

it took me a good hour and a half to get the stock,,(very heavy) exhaust .. i had to undo it from the down pipe cuz everything else was rusted up to much.. well im doing a clutch and flywheel now im dropping the tranny now. im having trouble getting the top 2 passenger side bolts off. and i havent even looked on the drivers side yet.. but i got all the bottom and the starter off.

whats a good way to get the top tranny bolts off. i have a impact and that wasnt doing anything ..

also .. to get the drive shaft off. i couldnt roatate it . it was like stuck in place. i put the tranny in neutral. and the thing still wouldnt spin.. i might be getting freaked out prematuraly ( i think its cuz i have the rear up on ramps and not free floating ( right??????? please say im right )

thats all for now

p.s i was only going to buy cat back but i think my cat and pre cat are fried. does anyone sell a aftermarket hi flo cat that bolts right up ?????

any help would be very appreciated

thanks

your driveshaft won't spin because your tires are on ramps, your right.

for the top tranny bolts I have dropped my tranny twice in the past three months. I didn't think the drivers side top bolts were to bad. I just used a normal socket wrench. I think the passenger side I held the wrench from under the car and had somebody else turn the wrench from the top. I had a breaker bar but I don't recall using it for the bolts on top. I don't think it would fit.

there are companies that make bolt up cats. I just took a fence post and a hammer and knocked all the crap out of it, I gutted it. After the threads got stripped on the cat, I got an exhaust pipe the same size as the cat and welded it in.

go with the Bonez- well worth it...
sometimes it's easier to use a couple of 3/8 extensions (long enough to position the ratchet comfortably) and get at the upper tranny bolts from the bottom

1/2 drive breaker bars with an adapter for 3/8 stuff comes in handy a LOT on our cars...
