HELP???How to modify s5 radiator for S\4??
I'm trying to put an S5 radiator in an S5(1988 cONV).. hOW CAN THIS BE DONE since the s5 has a neck on the left and right, the s\4 only has it on the left, and the s\4 has a sensor on th ebottom right, the s5 does not. The s5 is an auto radiator, the s\4 is manual. Help Please!

well have you tried holding up the shroud from the S4 up to the rad for the S5?
It should be very apparent after actually attempting to put those together that you'll need to trim back some of the shroud in order to fit it around the extended neck of the S5.
Its not rocket science there.....hold up, trim, try it in, repeat.
The rad will bolt onto the rad support no problem.

I sent you a P.M. but I had forgotten until I saw this post about the sensor the S4 has that the S5 didn't. I think has something to do with warmup. There was a thead about it awhile back. Here's a link.

on the s5 radiator, just put a non-pressure radiator cap on the filler neck, and use the cap on the s4 waterpump neck as your pressure cap. as far as sensors and what not, i know the low coolant sensor switches right over, the one on the bottom im not sure about.
