Angry Help, Help! Car wont start.

She started just fine an hour ago. I drove maybe ten blocks, and stopped for breakfast. Now she's acting like the clutch isn't depressed. I've got the blown meter fuse in my pocket, but she started without that earlier, so I doubt its related. I've checked the fuse block uner the hood, no porblems. I checked the engine and ecu fuses behind the dead pedal, intact. What should I look at next. I'm sure she'll push start, but I can't shove her away from the curb, and there wasn't anyone to help when I left her. Any suggestions?

We need more info:
1. Will it crank at all?
2. If it cranks - does it spin quickly/slowly?
3. Do the dash lights come on when you put the key in?
4. Does it make any sounds when you turn the key?
5. Does it smell like gas?

Since you only drove it a short distance, it sounds like it's flooded. But if it won't crank - it's another problem. If it doesn't crank at all, check the trigger wire on the starter. It's the small wire between the two main poles. It can come off easily. Do you have to push the clutch in to start it?

It's running now. Wouldn't crank at all. Dash lights wouldn't come one because meter fuse was blown and removed. The Solenoid was engaging (I heard it). Didn't smell like gas. Don't know what was wrong, but I walked back into town, turned the key and same thing. So, in frustration, I just turned and released the key several times in quick succession, and voila, she started right up. My car has a clutch kill switch, just like my Fathers 300ZX used to. That is going to go, as soon as figure out how I want to do it. Something about all these railroad crossings, and the idea of the car stalling on one of them. I'd hate to be unable to use the starter to get out of the way. Thanks for the help. I just wish I knew what happened.

Yeah, that is wierd. It might be a good idea to check the connectors on the back of the ignition switch, and even squirt a bit of lube in the key hole as well. Hope it doesn't happen again!

Me too. My back up needs a waterpump, so it's not going anywhere. I'll check it all tomorrow.
