help with haynes manual

wheres the section (or page) for the TPS in the manual. is it under another discription? thanks in advance.

p.s. im doing maintenece on the car and would like to know which to perform first, or if there is one that is more important then the other. reason is im on a budget and dont want to run out of money before i get to the more important thing.

should be in there....i dont quite remember where but....its in there....look in index under throttle pos. sensor...or tps
normal maintenece should be the fuel delivery such as fuel filter, fuel lines, oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, tires, air pressure....blah blah blah you know the deal....just do the once over, no one know your car better then you do, if you feel something needs replacement then just do so dont second guess it....you dont want to do a bunch of cool stuff to it then be stuck with a paper waight....lol besides all that stuff makes a big difference in a rotary....good luck..

Huh, I've been looking through mine right now. Cannot seem to find it :S Talks about the air adjust screw on top of the throttle body (ch.1 in Haynes), and talks about the fast idle adjustment (chapter 4 in Haynes) but doesn't say anything about the throttle sensor. Maybe I just cannot find it :S I coulda sworn it was in there.

Anyway here's the section, from the FSM, for checking and adjusting the TPS on Series 5 N/A RX7's (attached)

There's also some more detailed write ups (using voltmeter and such):

http://www.johnr.com/tps.html

Hope that helps,

I would go by the FSM method. Haynes manuals are very vauge and generalized. We here at RX7 owners are very lucky to have an online FSM to utilize. Forget the Haynes manual.
