Help with getting ports to open

Ok,86 gxl
racing beat header,no presilincer,No airpump--how can I go about getting the ports to open?Mazdatrix told me to just weld a brake line union in the header
and run a line.
Someone else told me to just wire them open
How the hell do you wire them open--if you know please let me know (in detail)
I put a motor in today and I really want the bucking and hesitation after 3300 rpm
to stop
Thanks

I don't recommend wiring them open, especially when you have all the stuff to make them work. Assuming you have the right header, that is. Does your header have a little nozzle thing like the one in this picture?
If not, you need the presilencer to get it to work.
That said, how do you know that the ports not opening is making it buck? Usually all that does is make you have less top end power.

I just wired mine open, it may take away a small amount of lowend but i really never felt it. To wire them open you just take off the actuators and push the little lever for the ports to the bottom most position and then just put a peice of wire in to tie it to the stationary stud that is left over from the acuatuator.

The way mazdatrix suggestion probrbaly wont work when you get all said and done with things. The reason for this is, you probrably dont have very much exhaust backpressure left in your exhaust, you have a very free flowing exhaust setup. Your airpump also has nothing to do with your actuators since its an S4.

Now the main problem you're having right now could be the 3800 rpm problem (its around that secondary injector kick-on point right around there).

With the racing beat setup it doesn't matter how much backpressure you have, which is why I recommend it as much as I do. I have a very open setup and it still works for me.

I uh, I just used some vacuum hose, a screw, a air bleed valve, a t-tap, and some silicone. Mine work fine...

My header does not have that tube,so I guess I will just wire them open.
The reason I figure its this causing it is becuase, this is the second motor, both ran the same--after 3300 rpm,it bucks hesitates some.It never did this before untill I put this exhaust setup on the car.I also have put new fuel injectors in it and that did nothing.
Thanks Guys

In that case, you can just wire them open. I personally don't recommend it, but its up to you. Also, I bet you are expeniencing hesitation due to bad grounding, or something. I don't think I've ever heard of non-functioning aux ports causing bucking.

On his setup, there's no place to connect the vac hose, so that wouldn't work.
