HELP!! getting butt kicked with starting problem

1986 GXL.

Short version

Low Wiper Fluid light has been on for awhile.
Started my car and noticed the voltage was abit low.

took off to head to walmart, turned headlights on and car bucked, voltage dropped but kicked back up.

turned heat on and turned signal on and car died completely. switches did nothing.
clock wasnt even on.

pulled key out.
walked to engine bay and buzzing noise coming from washer fluid tank.
(Does that mean there is a draw coming from there?)

put water in washer tank and light and buzzing went away.
jumped the car and everything checked out fine.

revved abit and another noise starts comin on. my seatbelt light flickers when i rev and keeps making the voltage drop now. never did this before. goes off if im buckled and not under load. i took off and drove home. on the way home everything kept flickering and headlights would dim.

the car finially died when i got home and turned on everything (radio, defrost, heat, ect). when i did that the car died COMPLETELY again. I tried to start it and i just here a click and thats it.

What could be the possible problems???

are the idiot lights all turning on right before the car dies? this sounds similar to when my alt went out.

The cold weather will let you know if your battery needs replacing. If you keep running the car mostly off the alternator due to a weak battery then you'll need a new alternator before long as well. I would recommend having both checked at a local parts store.

Once your alternator goes,it "can" take the battery with it.
this is because the car has been relying on Just the Battery's voltage to run the car,
The ECU will start to Make the Car act like total **** after the voltage drops to below 10 volts.. it can shut the car down in the middle of the street.,If the voltage is low enough and the battery has drained beyond it's limit.
.....The Warning lights going off erratically is a sign that the charging system is Going out.
>Get your alternator Checked..and you will most likely end up having that replaced..
Do not be surprised if the Battery has taken its toll though and you end up replacing that too.

actually, the car can still run all the way down to as low as 5.5volts(monitored on an S4 n/a).

Thats true since most sensors are reading 5 volts, and to create a spark from the coils 5v is sufficient to keep a strong spark
I remember when my alternator died and battery at the same time and my battery was the only thing kept me going home. I was at in the last mile home, 6v which drained to around 5v by thr time I got home. Very sluggish at high rpm, somewhat smooth at lowrpm, guessing from irratic spark at high rpm from low volts.
This was in my 88se
