thanks, for some reason i put 20 bucks in my tank right, when its like empty i see my guage go down, and it stops at $17.35 i use 87, and my gas cost $2.25 a gallon, and i put it more to $18, and it spills, like $1+ work of gas on the ground, please help

There is a reason why they say not to top off your tank.
While 7.7 gallons is nowhere close to 16.8, keep in mind that the reserve tank is there...
then, there is the bottom unsensored level.... and then there is a chance of a hill....
And, there is the possibilty that your float is crooked/not floating as well as it could.
I wouldnt say that you have a problem, you just filled up too early to need as much gas as you expected.
If you really want to you could lift yoru carpet in the back up, unscrew the right plate, make sure the hose isn't like kinked (it is pretty think, i don't see that happening). You could take out your float from the left hole and check it, and see your nice large reserve tank.
