Help with fuel quanity gauge

My gas gauge (90 FC) which was working fine just went to zero (well actually below the empty mark) a bit after putting gas in the car. I've checked the connector at the tank (wiggled it) and it is tight. Wondered if someone could give me some help on other trouble shooting ideas.

Thanks

Sometimes the sending unit just goes bad. Happened to me. If you find that after testing it that this is the case, here is where you can find another one. It's about halfway down the page.

When I first bought my car, the gauge worked, but the fuel light didn't. After about a year, I watched the gauge die on me while I was on the highway. When I replaced the unit, the gauge worked as it should again, and I regained the LOW FUEL light functionality.

Your gauge could be on its way out, though I can't put money on it. It seems like the lack of a functional LOW FUEL light is the first thing to go bad with the unit.
