Oops here is the question

So the fuel pick up tube(?) is flared at the end and has some adaptor that goes over the smooth tube end on the original pump.
Am I missing some sort of adaptor?

i found a video of someone changing one, but his pick up didn’t have the flared portion, rather a section of tubing going from the pump to the tube
Did he cut the pick up maybe? Or is it that mine is S5 and his was maybe S4?

the S5 and FD have that O Ring setup, BP02-13-ZE5

if your pump can't accommodate it, then you should cut the tube, and use a hose with clamps like the S4

if you power the pump up on the bracket, you'll see why they have such an odd mounting, the thing moves!

It did, but i don't care for the hose it has. Looks to me like a thinner version of a plastic cup straw from a big gulp. Plus, i'm only going to need 2 1/2 to 3 inches of hose, and the supplied tube is 6 or so, can't trim it down or you lose the flat connection area.
